CONTACT PHYSICSTAN

How can we help?

Use the form below or email contact@physicstan.com. For a wrong AI answer, use the Report button inside the solver so the conversation details are included.

Everything reaches the same place: contact@physicstan.com

Physicstan is run by one person alongside a PhD, so replies take a few working days rather than minutes. Reports of wrong physics answers are looked at first, because those affect everyone rather than a single account.

One exception is worth knowing before you write.

Wrong answer? Report it in the app instead

If the AI got a physics question wrong, do not email it. Use the Report button underneath the answer.

Every AI response carries a thumbs up, a thumbs down and a Report button. Report opens a comment box and sends us the message with its request identifiers attached, so we can see the exact conversation, which mode you were in, and what the system actually returned. An email describing the problem from memory gives us almost none of that.

A sentence about what went wrong makes the difference between a report we can act on and one we cannot. “The answer is wrong” is weak. “It applied conservation of energy to a collision that is clearly inelastic” is specific enough to fix, and usually gets fixed faster.

Reported errors feed the benchmark library used to test changes, so a good report improves answers for everyone who asks something similar later.

What to include when you do email

Writing about an account or a charge is much faster to resolve if the first message contains the details. For anything account-related, send the email address registered on the account. For billing, add the approximate date and amount of the charge.

Things that resolve without contacting us

Most support messages fall into a handful of categories, and several of them have a faster answer than waiting for a reply.

The verification email did not arrive. Check spam first, then confirm you typed the address correctly at registration. If it is genuinely missing after that, write in and tell us which address you used.

Free credits have not appeared. Credits are granted after email verification, not at registration. Verify first, then check again.

A credit was charged for a request that failed. This should not happen. Credits are held against a request and only settled once the AI actually returns something. If your balance looks wrong, tell us roughly when it happened and we will check the ledger.

Only the first person on your network got free credits. If several people register from the same school, dorm, library or office connection, only the first receives the full free allowance automatically. This stops one person opening unlimited accounts. If you are a separate student caught by it, write in and say so.

You want to cancel or change plan. The Billing button on your account page opens Stripe’s customer portal, where you can update your card, switch plan, download invoices and cancel. Cancelling stops future billing and leaves your access in place until the end of the period you have paid for. You do not need us for any of that. Refund terms are on the refund and cancellation policy page.

You want to delete a conversation. There is a delete option in your account. No need to ask.

The tool will not load or looks broken. Tell us your browser, your device, and whether you are on desktop or mobile.

Privacy and data requests

To remove a single conversation, use the delete option in your account. For account deletion, a copy of your data, or any other request under applicable data protection law, email us from the address registered on the account. What is stored and for how long is set out in the privacy policy.

Teachers and institutions

If you teach physics and want to talk about how your students are using this, we would rather hear from you than not, including if you have concerns. Academic integrity is a genuine issue with this category of tool, and instructor feedback shapes how the modes behave.

Press and partnerships

Same address. Please say which you are in the subject line.

Answered faster on the site

  • How accurate is it, and what is actually checked? The accuracy and method page covers this in full, including what is not verified.
  • How do credits work? See pricing. One substantive request is one credit, failed requests are not charged, and unused credits accumulate.
  • Is using this cheating? Your institution decides. Checking your own work and being guided to an answer you then write yourself is normally fine. Submitting generated work as your own normally is not.
  • Who is behind Physicstan? See about.
